About

Welcome to my blog. My name is Matt Middleton, and I am a Software Developer from Leicester, UK.

The following taken from my LinkedIn Profile:

I am a Software Developer with a passion for Microsoft .NET & SQL Server related technologies. My syntax of choice is C#. I love to use LINQ, however, not for LINQ-to-SQL. I am already using .NET 4.

I keep up to date with the industry, and use what I've learnt of new technology to work on elegant and easy to use products that really impact how people use a computer.

Every time I work on a new project, I always try to do something slightly different, using something brand new in terms of technology, whilst using what I've learnt with past projects (the positives and the pitfalls) to deliver, always on time, exciting and productive software solutions. I always keep in mind that software should be planned around the user's needs - not planned around new technology - and to KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid!).

Distributed Systems interest me the most, especially with the advent of jQuery and broader web standards, the web platform is getting more powerful and easy to developer for as time goes on.

To request my CV or make a comment on my blog, or simply if you want to say 'hello', feel free to send me a message.
